Interview with Clémence Audiard
When did you realize you wanted to pursue this path, and what were your first steps?
I didn’t enter this industry just to perform: very early on, I realized I wanted to create. From the beginning, I was drawn to the visual side, the atmosphere, the storytelling, and the energy between people on set. Step by step, that intuition grew into something much bigger, eventually leading me to launch my own production brand CLEMENCE CRAVE. That was the real turning point for me. Creating my own brand gave me complete creative freedom. I’m no longer part of someone else’s vision: I’m building my own universe, my own stories, my own aesthetic. My goal is to bring something more cinematic, more refined, and more intentional to this industry, while preserving the raw authenticity and intensity that make it real.
What has been the most important milestone you’ve reached in your career, and what dream would you like to make a reality?
One of the most important milestones of my career was independently producing my first complete narrative project. It showed me that I’m capable of building something on a large scale—not just scenes, but a complete artistic direction. And my ambition goes even further. I want to push adult content toward something closer to cinema: something that can exist beyond platforms, expectations, and even the industry itself.
How much work goes into your success, and how do you see the contribution behind the results you’ve achieved beyond pure aesthetics? Can you also tell us a little about your work routine and how you stay organized?
What people see on screen is only a small part of it. Behind the scenes, there’s constant organization: planning, casting, location scouting, writing, production, post-production, communication, and strategy. I’m involved in every stage. My routine is intense, but I like it that way: I like having control over the final result and making sure everything reflects my vision.
Who have you worked best with on set?
On set, what matters most to me is connection. I’ve been lucky to work with incredible people, but the best experiences are always with those who are completely present, open, and in tune with the energy of the scene. When there’s real chemistry, everything becomes more natural, more powerful, and more authentic.
How important is your brand to your current project?
My personal brand is truly at the center of everything I do now. It’s not just a project: it’s my identity as a creator. It allows me to explore different formats, from more spontaneous vignette-style scenes to structured, narrative films. It also lets me remain independent, choose my own direction, and build something that genuinely represents me. And this is only the beginning.
